Paradigm for Future Analysis of Shipetaukin Creek Water Quality

December 01, 2021 - May 27, 2022

With Witt Phillips (Yale University), Dr. Stephen Laubach (The Lawrenceville School), and the Stroud Water Research Center.

Abstract

Through a machine-learning (ML) algorithm, a method for analysis and prediction of water quality data from the Stroud Water Research Center’s “Monitor My Watershed” program was generated for application to current and future data from Lawrenceville’s Shipetaukin Creek. The resulting program combines data cleaning and organization with statistical and predictive analysis, bringing meaning to years of conductivity, depth, and temperature
readings. The result is a highly scalable tool capable of informing short-term response and long-term land management, accessible to scientists and community members alike.
